Turkey Dinner Oct. 2, 2010 .....
A room full of Club members, family and friends enjoyed a nice evening of fellowship and great dining at the Flying Club Evans Room.
Four turkeys were cooked to perfection by Jacki and her sister Dianne. Al diligently and with great fortitude, peeled over 20 pounds of potatoes and smashed them. He doesn't want to see a potatoe or a potatoe peeler for a little while.
The salads and deserts were delectible and the perfect additions to the great meal.
There was lots to eat for everyone and many comments were made over how delicious it all was.
Many thanks go to the social committee members for all their hard work in making the evening a success. Thanks also to the Club members, families and friends for the wonderful turnout in support of our Club.
Hey Bev, my turkey gravy is nice and creamy. Jacki's is all lumpy so I have to fix it. Don't tell Harry or he will post it on the web site.
No, wait Jacki....I can save your gravy.
I am so lucky to have a smart sister like you, Dianne.
Hinch, Charlie and Fred checking out that good looking girl.
Barb knows how to greet all the guests and make them feel welcome. Art lines up for his greeting.
Dianne serves up the libations.
For what we are about to receive......
Somebody wrote my phone number on the floor.
Come closer Patti, I want to tell you something bad that Martin did.
Hey guys, I found a great new place to park my plane for the winter. It's a little tricky to get in and out of, but it's free. Oh, and it needs a little work.
Fred, keep an eye on Charlie. I think he fell asleep.
Charlie, wake up, the turkey is ready.
The line up for the turkey.
Martin, what have you got in your hand? Open it up and let me see. Did you sneak some turkey meat when I wasn't looking?
So, Scott. This is the nice quiet romantic evening you promised me tonight?
'
Pardon me sir, is this seat taken?
Hey I think you missed one lump Dianne.
Relax and be patient Tommy. I will cut you a special extra big piece. Don't tell anyone.
Hey Cheryl, put my camera down. It's much too complicated for you. You will never figure out how to use it.
Ok, so you found the little button. Now put it down before you break it.
That's a pretty big piece of cake there Tommy. No, the one on your plate.
Glad that Tommy left me a little piece. I better hurry Alice is coming.
The whipped cream can nozzle got stuck. Honest!
A big hand for the great meal put on by the social committee. Yay!!!
I made the mistake of wandering into the kitchen.
Great time had by all. Keep checking our website for the next event.
